Whitney Larch books Danny Osei for paid appearances at clubs and bars across Leeds, a modest but reliable source of income Danny has done for two years without much incident.
The trouble is timing. Several of the highest-paying bookings land on Friday nights, the eve of Saturday fixtures, and Danny's manager has now raised it directly with his agent twice this season — most recently after a below-par performance the day after one such appearance.
Danny insists the appearances don't affect him and that he's simply diversifying his income the way plenty of players his age do. His manager's view, delivered fairly bluntly in a one-on-one this week, is that the numbers on the pitch say otherwise.
Nothing has been banned outright. Everyone involved is watching whether that changes.
